If you plan to buy an iPod from an okay seller, be aware that it may no longer be under warranty.(A reader suggested you can check the warranty status by going to this apple webpage.) https://selfsolve.apple.ge/GetWarranty.doBe aware that if youbuy aniPod on okay it mayNOT have a full year's warranty. We purchased one from an okay businessthat had a large store of similar items. Seven months later when we had to send it in for repair, our okay purchase date was NOT considered the retail purchase date by Apple and Apple would not honor the one-yearwarranty. Apple's records showed aretail purchase date seven months earlier than the date we purchased it on okay...that means we had only 5 months warranty, rather than the 12 you will get if you purchase at a retail store. So while we got a bargain price, we also got a short warranty date. Apple would nothonor the okay purchase date as the beginning of the one-year warranty.
Here's a paragraph emailed to us by Apple...
Your request was denied because the receipt does not reflect the original (emphasis mine) retail purchase. Unfortunately, we are unable to update the purchase date on units obtained through okay as APPLE does not consider this to be a valid reseller.
