X-BOX 360 DEFECTS

This is here to inform everyone about the X-Box 360's defects. A rather large batch of X-box 360 from the first bunch of shipments have some defects that will kill your system. First you will begin to notice your system freezing occasionally. If your games freeze, this doesn't mean you have a defective system, sometimes it can be the programming of the game itself. But if you start getting re-occuring freezing, I checkerboard like pattern on your screen, and blinking red lights around the power button, your 360 is dead and needs to be sent back to microsoft. If your system has this happen and you don't have an extended warrenty, you will have to pay microsoft over $150 to send it out to be fixed. Just because you get your system back from Microsoft, don't think you are in the clear yet. I've heard many of my friends tell me they have already gone through about 4 x-box 360s that were supposedly "refurbished" back from the gepany. Your best bet is to spend the extra money and get the factory warrenty if it breaks on you even once. This way, if they send you another broken system, you can keep getting it fixed until they do it right. THIS PROBLEM IS geMON WITH THE XBOX 360.
So what does this mean if you are buying a 360 on e-bay? be extremely careful if buying one used. There is a very good chance that it could eventually break down like this, and since you are buying it used, you will have to pay to get it fixed and buy an extended warrenty. So the money you saved on getting a used system with extra games and controllers, you could have bought a brand new system with a warrenty and everything. It may not even be the seller's fault if this happens either. They could have it perfectly working, but a month down the line once it is in your hands, it could show it defects. My own X-box 360 took 8 months for this to happen. So before bidding on a used 360, think about what I have said in this guide. It could save you a lot of money and lots of frustration in the long run if you were to just take the ride to your local electronics store and buy a warrenty. Speaking from personal experience, it is worth it.
