GAP OUTLET Identification

Ever wonder how to spot a GAP outlet or factory store item?
Here is what you need to know:1.) Older GAP outlet has a white/off-white tag and GAP has a gold line through it.
2) Other GAP tags actually have "Factory Store" on the tag
3) The NEWEST method of GAP outlet tags is thatGAP doesn't write outlet anywhere on it. Normally, the tags are white with the GAP logo. But underneath, there are 3SQUARES on the tag. If there are three squares on the tag, you KNOW it is from the outlet. Some sellers don't disclose or photographthe tag, and claim they"didn't know" it was an outlet item.
THIS IS AN OUTLET TAG:

Looking for GAP pajamas, but don't know if they are outlet or from a GAP retail store? Outlet pajamasare in outlet packaging, and you can see the 3 squares underneath the GAP logo on the front of the package. Outlet pajamas are packaged side by side (shirt and pants are next to each other, right to left), and the packaging looks like a long rectangle (A rectangle laying on it's side, with the short ends on the right and left). Retail GAP store pajamas are packaged with the shirt on top and the pants on the bottom. The packaging is also a tall rectangle, with the short sides up and down. A BIG GIVEAWAY!
I get so frustrated when I win an auction, and find out it is from an outlet store. Hopefully, we can be better informed and ask sellers right away if the items are from an outlet. I hope you found this helpful!!
